With conferences and seminars all over the world being postponed or cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, we at AMCA International wish to remind you that we have outstanding educational and professional resources online for you to access at your convenience:

• Webinars—In 2019, AMCA launched the AMCA insite^TM series of free, professional-development-hour- (PDH-) eligible webinars. The next event in the series, “Specifying Fans for Industrial Environments,” will be held Tuesday, April 7, from 1-2 p.m. EDT. • Online training modules—AMCA offers two PDH-eligible online training modules to help buildings professionals learn more about the new fan-energy-index (FEI) fan-efficiency metric, which is making its way into model energy codes and standards: Introduction to Fan Energy Index (FEI) for Stand-Alone Fans, a course for non-engineers explaining the concepts behind FEI, advantages of FEI compared with the fan-efficiency-grade (FEG) metric, how to use FEI to estimate lifetime fan energy savings, and methods for applying FEI in building codes and efficiency programs, and Calculating Fan Energy Index (FEI) for Stand-Alone Fans, a course for engineers exploring the methods used to determine FEI ratings. • Videos and presentations—AMCA maintains a library of videos on a range of topics, from services AMCA offers to sand louvers. Recently added were recordings of two educational sessions AMCA hosted at the 2020 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) in Orlando, Fla.: Fan Energy Index (FEI) as a Rating Metric and Design Tool and Minimizing Fan-System Effect. • Outreach activities—The AMCA Speakers Network is a group of subject-matter experts available to present on myriad topics impacting the air-systems industry—with most presentations eligible for PDH credit—at engineering-firm “lunch-and-learns,” ASHRAE chapter meetings, and the like. The pandemic has caused us to put a hold on in-person visits, so we are offering live webinar presentations.
